Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele is looking to clinch.
Steele is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steele fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cordera is out of range.
Cordera shoots in and drives through. Steele sprawls well.
Steele darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cordera missing with punches from the bottom.
Steele wants to take a breather but Cordera is having none of it.

Steele seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Steele changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cordera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cordera takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Steele tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Steele has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Steele looks to score with a jab to the body but Cordera is just out of range.
Cordera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steele tries to avoid it but Cordera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steele to the ground. Steele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Steele looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Steele throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cordera.
Cordera throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Steele fails with the takedown.
Cordera has his takedown stuffed
and Steele counters with a single leg into guard. Cordera didn't expect that.
Luke Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kato Cordera.
