The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mendes is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Mendes circles away and we're back to standing.

Mendes feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Mendes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gracie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mendes has just dragged him back down to the mat.
