Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Snitskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kolof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Kolof has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Glenn Snitskey's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glenn Snitskey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kolof!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snitskey works Kolof's body with a nice hook.
Snitskey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kolof to score with a decent uppercut.
Snitskey shoots in but Kolof avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A punch combination from Snitskey misses.

Kolof gets the takedown into side control.
Snitskey gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Snitskey keeping control of the position.
Snitskey tries to kick Kolof off but Kolof keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Snitskey is trying to maintain the position but Kolof is very close to passing his half guard.
Snitskey wants to improve his position but Kolof is controlling well.

Kolof is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Snitskey is just riding it out for now. Kolof eventually gives up the hold.

Kolof darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Snitskey is trying to get back to full guard.

Kolof is working for a kimura but Snitskey is defending it quite comfortably.

Kolof is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kolof wants to stand but Snitskey has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Snitskey tries to kick Kolof off but Kolof keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kolof tries for a takedown but Snitskey circles away easily

and Snitskey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Snitskey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kolof shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Snitskey is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Kolof prevents Snitskey from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Kolof dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Kolof shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Snitskey's guard.
Snitskey tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kolof throws a strike but Snitskey rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kolof bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Snitskey's guard.
Kolof postures up.
Snitskey seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kolof stands and throws Snitskey's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kolof shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snitskey pinned against the cage. Snitskey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Snitskey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Snitskey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Snitskey is looking to control Kolof's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snitskey avoid being mounted?

The fighters are battling for position here. Snitskey manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kolof must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Snitskey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kolof looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Snitskey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kolof is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kolof gets back to half guard.
Kolof really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snitskey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kolof wants to get back to full guard but Snitskey has passed into side control.
Snitskey is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Snitskey controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ivan Kolof will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kolof stands up and beckons Snitskey to join him on the feet.

and Snitskey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Snitskey.

Kolof stands and steps away. Snitskey gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Snitskey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Snitskey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Snitskey decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kolof, up you get!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ivan Kolof is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Glenn Snitskey.
I think Kolof has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
