Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Stout (ranked 5217 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Drago (ranked 6541 p4p, 0 weight class). Viktor Drago has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luigi Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Viktor Drago!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stout moves into range and clinches up with Drago.
Stout effectively controlling the action here.
Drago is working for takedown but Stout is calmly controlling the position for now.

Stout pulls guard effortlessly.
Drago is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Stout has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drago can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Drago throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stout works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stout really is a fat lump.

Stout is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Drago defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drago decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stout tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Drago just stands there and leans against the cage.

Stout drags the fight down to the ground.
Drago wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving.
Stout thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Stout isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Drago stacks Stout on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Drago!
Stout trying to control but Drago flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Drago is looking to control Stout but Stout is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Stout turns into Drago and is now in his guard.

Stout got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drago has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stout has managed to get both his arms back between Drago's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drago wants to stand up but Stout is controlling him.
Stout is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Drago looking to control but Stout passes into half guard.
Stout is nestled in close to Drago, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Drago avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stout.
Drago has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stout is working away from the top position though.

Drago has hold of Stout's hands but Stout slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Luigi Stout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stout's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Stout seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Drago for as long as he can get away with.

and Stout counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Drago is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Stout throws a head kick that Drago semi-blocks.
Drago shoots for a double leg takedown but Stout sprawls well. He's pushed Drago's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stout sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
