Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Pearsons!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yanoska shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Yanoska stops Pearsons from standing up.
Yanoska stays in close to Pearsons's body and controls the position.
Yanoska wants to pass the guard but Pearsons is keeping the position.

Yanoska gets to his feet. Pearsons looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yanoska misses with a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yanoska.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yanoska tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pearsons counters with a solid body kick.

Yanoska is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pearsons's half guard.
Pearsons gets full guard.
Pearsons wants to improve his position but instead Yanoska has moved into half guard.
Yanoska seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Yanoska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pearsons does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Yanoska is thwarting Pearsons's attempts to control the position.
Yanoska is keen to just control but Pearsons is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pearsons on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Yanoska passes the guard and advances to mount!
Yanoska takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pearsons is looking to improve his position but Yanoska isn't that keen on the idea.

Yanoska quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Yanoska but it's paid off an Pearsons is forced to tap! Nice work by Yanoska.
