Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Cahill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Budimon!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cahill swinging wildly here.
Budimon lands with a thumping leg kick.
Budimon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cahill throws a jab but it's blocked by Budimon.
Cahill has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ramirez School Of Excellence in the buildup to the fight.
Tim Cahill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice straight punches there by Cahill. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cahill.

Budimon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cahill on the side of the head.

Budimon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cahill sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A little jabbing left from Budimon on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Budimon throws a big counter head kick but Cahill avoids it with no problem.
Budimon has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Budimon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cahill was well out of range. Poor timing from Budimon.
Budimon throws the left hand but Cahill avoids the punch easily.
Cahill lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cahill feints a jab promting Budimon to slip. Cahill then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Budimon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Cahill went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Cahill swings for the body but Budimon moves out of range.

and Budimon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cahill will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cahill feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Budimons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Cahill lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Budimon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cahill gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Budimon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cahill has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cahill there as he acknowledges the shot.
Budimon avoids a punch combination nicely.

It seemed like Budimon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Budimon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cahill lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Budimon throws the kick towards the body but Cahill avoids it.
A quick step to the side and Cahill tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cahill throws a nice looking combination but Budimon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Cahill will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Budimon drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cahill right on the button. Cahill goes down! Budimon follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Budimon gets the win via TKO!
