Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pepe Rojas!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Rojas.
Johnson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rojas looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
Rojas lands with a right hand.
Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rojas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rojas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.
Rojas moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Rojas fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Rojas lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rojas taking a breather here.
Rojas lands a nice forearm strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rojas tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.

Rojas is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Johnson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rojas gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rojas lets go of the hold and Johnson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pepe Rojas!
