The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mcintosh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.

Mcintosh looking for a guillotine here but Brown defends easily.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Mcintosh has wrist control.

Brown gets to his feet - Mcintosh follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brown decides to stand back up.

Brown closes the distance and clinches.

Brown is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcintosh defends well.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcintosh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown wants to sweep but no luck.

Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Brown pulls Mcintosh in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Brown has closed the distance and engaged Mcintosh in a clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brown gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mcintosh regains guard.

Brown drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mcintosh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brown has Mcintosh in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mcintosh tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Brown is trying to move to mount but Mcintosh reverses beautifully and ends up in Brown's guard.
