Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Parrish (ranked 24480 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azrael Fallen (ranked 5079 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jerry Parrish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Azrael Fallen!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fallen has Parrish up against the cage in a clinch.

Fallen jumps guard and drags Parrish to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Parrish postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fallen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parrish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Parrish in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Parrish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fallen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Parrish postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parrish drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parrish jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Parrish postures up and lands a big shot to Fallen's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fallen wants to sweep here but Parrish controlling him for the moment.

Parrish loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fallen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Parrish won't allow Fallen to sweep him here.
Parrish lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Fallen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fallen has his feet on Parrish's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Fallen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parrish looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Parrish bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fallen stops a takedown attempt from Parrish.

Fallen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Parrish postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Parrish throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fallen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fallen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Parrish working some strikes from top position.
Parrish trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Parrish lands a couple of digs.
Fallen has momentary wrist control but Parrish slips an elbow through the middle.

Parrish gets to his feet. Fallen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Fallen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Parrish gets back to full guard.
Fallen wants to control from the top but Parrish keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fallen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fallen being controlled here momentarily.
Parrish could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fallen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parrish works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Parrish managing to control the position.
Fallen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parrish is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Fallen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parrish pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Parrish dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Parrish tries to sprawl but Fallen drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Parrish has one foot on Fallen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Parrish tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Parrish sets himself, and Fallen steps forward looking for the clinch! Parrish avoids it this time.
Fallen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parrish throws a big counter combination but Fallen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Parrish gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Parrish manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fallen looking to throw knees to the head but Parrish is blocking nicely.

Fallen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fallen manages to end up in side control.
Parrish isn't going anywhere.
Parrish has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jerry Parrish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Parrish sneaks back into half guard.
Fallen is nestled in close to Parrish, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Parrish regains full guard. Nicely done.
Fallen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parrish is proving hard to escape from.
Parrish is pulling down on Fallen's head to control his posture.
Parrish tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fallen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fallen is fighting to break Parrish's control of his arms but Parrish is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fallen lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fallen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parrish is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fallen throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fallen throws a right hand that Parrish ducks under and follows up with a left that Parrish also avoids with ease.
Fallen misses with a head kick.

Parrish gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fallen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Parrish manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Parrish tries to pull guard but Fallen holds him up against the cage and eventually Parrish drops back down to his feet.
Fallen lands a nice uppercut.

Fallen tightens his grip and picks Parrish up, before dumping him to the ground. Parrish manages to land in guard.

Parrish is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fallen wants to control but Parrish passes easily into half guard.

Parrish seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Fallen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
