Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Banchamek Buakaw!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buakaw paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Buakaw looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Wills throws a poor cross that misses
and Buakaw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Buakaw getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Buakaw bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wills's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Buakaw lands a nice hook to Wills's body. Wills takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wills takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Buakaw slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wills throws a lazy right hand but Buakaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Wills's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wills slips nicely into half guard.
Buakaw has hold of Wills's hands but Wills slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Buakaw is trying to maintain the position but Wills is very close to passing his half guard.
Still in half guard, Wills seems content to control.
Buakaw has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wills is working away from the top position though.

Wills lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Wills working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Buakaw is rocked!

Buakaw is still in real trouble! Can Wills finish him?
Wills's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Buakaw seems to have recovered his senses.
Wills working over Buakaw with some ground and pound. Buakaw looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A big shot lands for Wills! That's hurt Buakaw! Will he recover? Wills fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samson Wills!
A less than humble Samson Wills misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Banchamek Buakaw was interviewed post fight and said 'You are just lucky today!'.
