Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kai Kealoha!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kealoha swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hogan tries to clinch but Kealoha moves out of range.
Hogan misses with a head kick.
Hogan misses with a straight right.
Hogan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hogan looks to clinch
and Kealoha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Joe Hogan has been cut.
Kealoha circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kealoha counters with a two punch combo.
Hogan throws a sloppy head kick and Kealoha moves out of range easily.
Kealoha circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kealoha counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kealoha rushes Hogan with punches - Hogan moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Hogan goes down! Kealoha follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Kealoha!
A less than humble Kai Kealoha misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
