PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felix Legions (ranked 31 p4p, 3 weight class) and Farboleous Ricard (ranked 39 p4p, 6 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Legions might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Heavy Metal we will die!. Ricard has chosen Vibe Killer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricard lands with a straight right. Legions didn't see that one coming.

Ricard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Legions has escaped the position, nice work there.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Ricard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Legions keeps working.
Legions has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ricard is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ricard is controlling the pace.
Ricard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Legions knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ricard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ricard is looking to stall here but Legions recovers full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
