Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yka Sonni (ranked 1890 p4p, 218 weight class) and Dannis Till (ranked 3145 p4p, 341 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonni connects with the punch.
Sonni thuds a left hand into Till's body.
Sonni cracks Till with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've been informed that Till has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Till has Sonni up against the cage in a clinch.

Sonni successfully pulls guard.

Sonni looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Till passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Till tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Till has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Till thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sonni tries to bench press Till off him but Till keeps the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sonni prevents Till from moving into mount.
Sonni seems a little lost for a moment, as Till dominates the positioning.
Let's hope that Till has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Till is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sonni knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sonni connects with a nice looking jab.
Till drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Till takes the fight into the clinch.
Till jumps guard but Sonni stands there with Till around his waist. Till gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Till drags the fight down to the ground.

Till looking for a guillotine here but Sonni defends easily.

Till has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sonni can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Till escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sonni gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sonni has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Till has his foot on Sonni's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sonni works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Till wants to sweep but no luck.
Till working a defensive guard here.
Sonni trying to control the position from guard on top but Till is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Till escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sonni gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sonni advances to half guard.
Dannis Till has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sonni is pressing down on Till's thigh, looking to free his foot. Till is holding on for now.
Till keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Till gets full guard.
Till keeping moving, preventing Sonni from controlling successfully.
Sonni tries to free his leg and advance position but Till is retaining full guard.
Till is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sonni scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Till doesn't seem bothered though.
A punch lands to the side of Till 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sonni lands a really nice looking cross but Till seems unphased.

Till is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sonni drops Till with a straight right hand, right on the button! Sonni follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
