PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Hayashi (ranked 4510 p4p, 55 weight class) and Tokkie Terblanche (ranked 25161 p4p, 88 weight class). Hayashi comes to the cage accompanied by The Charmels - As Long As I've Got You. Terblanche comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Going Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terblanche throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hayashi attempts a counter takedown but Terblanche avoids it well and moves away.

Terblanche gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Terblanche is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Terblanche is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hayashi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Terblanche.

Terblanche is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hayashi is just riding it out for now. Terblanche eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hayashi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Terblanche gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hayashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Terblanche is aware though and is defending well.
Hayashi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hayashi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hayashi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Terblanche is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hayashi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Terblanche manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hayashi has Terblanche in his guard.

A less than humble Tokkie Terblanche misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Hideo Hayashi was interviewed post fight and said 'Did I look cool at least? Guys? Guys!?'.
