PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yun Zheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Weddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weddle has chosen remember the name - fort minor as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zheng misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Weddle lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zheng has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zheng and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Weddle throws a chopping leg kick but Zheng manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Zheng looks for a takedown but Weddle sprawls well.

Zheng feints and as Weddle raises his hands in defense, Zheng changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zheng tries to free his leg and advance position but Weddle is retaining full guard.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Weddle really wants to buck Zheng off and get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Weddle tries to hold on but Zheng postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Weddle is wriggling around trying to escape.
Zheng controlling from the full mount.
Weddle's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zheng is going olschool here, as he tries to force Weddle to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Weddle shrugs it off.
Zheng is breathing heavily.
Weddle wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Weddle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zheng. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Weddle tries to buck Zheng off so he can stand up but Zheng has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Weddle falls backwards, slamming Zheng to the mat but Zheng holds on tight! Weddle is forced to tap and this one is all over!
