The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Culpi misses with the body kick
and Guedes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Guedes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Culpi eats them both and turns towards Guedes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Jemerson Culpi has been cut.
Guedes scores with a decent looking hook.
Culpi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Guedes checks the leg kick nicely there.
Culpi throws a sloppy body shot
and Guedes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Culpi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Guedes counters with a right hand to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Culpi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Guedes punishes Culpi's body with a nice straight punch.
Guedes connects with a body shot.
BOOM! Guedes lands a beautiful left hook that drops Culpi. Culpi tries to recover but Guedes is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Culpi lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
