The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santiago darts in and clinches Curry up against the cage.
Santiago is struggling to control the position.
Curry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Curry is trying to break the clinch but Santiago has him pressed against the cage.
Santiago prevents a takedown attempt there.
Santiago is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Santiago is pushing Curry up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Santiago has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Curry is proving hard to escape from.
Curry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Curry lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Curry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Curry seems keen to control Santiago's posture.
