Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Clever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Legato Effrairo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clever comes to the cage accompanied by Rush - Fly By Night. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Effrairo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clever, pushing him back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Effrairo.

Effrairo is controlling Clever's posture.
Effrairo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clever drops back, looking for a kneebar! Effrairo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Effrairo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Effrairo!

Clever has gone for a leg lock! Effrairo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Clever's guard.

Clever is looking for a triangle but Effrairo pushes his legs off easily.

Clever had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Effrairo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Clever Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Effrairo's back instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Clever drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Effrairo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clever has Effrairo in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Clever throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Clever has hold of one of Effrairo's legs. Effrairo is fighting the takedown attempt but Clever gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Clever postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Effrairo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Clever, into his guard.

Well Effrairo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
