Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, King Sam!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sam misses with a two punch combination.

Jarvis tries to keep at a distance but Sam has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jarvis wants to take the fight to the mat but Sam manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jarvis misses with an elbow over the top.
Jarvis holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Sam is trying to pull guard but Jarvis has him pressed against the cage.

Jarvis manages to break the clinch.
King Sam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sam takes the fight into the clinch.
Jarvis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sam gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam is trying to drag Jarvis to the mat but Jarvis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jarvis tries to score a body lock takedown but Sam shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oswaldo Jarvis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jarvis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sam wants a takedown but no success here.

Jarvis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sam throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oswaldo Jarvis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sam fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jarvis, pushing him back against the cage.
Jarvis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Come on Jarvis - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jarvis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jarvis is trying to trip Sam. He has hold of a leg but Sam is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jarvis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Sam has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jarvis doesn't defend quickly enough and Sam has managed to lock this one up! Can Jarvis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sam on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). King Sam!
