Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Biggie Saulnier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Biggie Saulnier!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saulnier shoots for a takedown but Reyes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Reyes looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Saulnier looks for the body kick but Reyes saw that one coming.
Nice takedown defense from Reyes. No joy for Saulnier on that attempt.
Saulnier shoots in for a double leg but Reyes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nick Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Biggie Saulnier.
Saulnier fails to land the takedown.
Saulnier smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Saulnier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reyes pinned against the cage. Reyes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saulnier is looking to clinch.

Saulnier throws a series of punches but Reyes avoids them all with ease.
Saulnier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Reyes jumps guard and drags Saulnier to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Saulnier stopping the sweep attempt from Reyes.
Reyes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Saulnier!

Saulnier working to try and regain half guard.
Saulnier tries to lock up and control but Reyes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Saulnier is trying to escape the mount.
Reyes lands a big elbow.
Reyes lands a big shot there that rocks Saulnier but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saulnier wants to hold on but Reyes pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Saulnier tries to hold on but Reyes pushes him away.
Saulnier is working to get back to half guard.
Reyes avoids the attempt from Saulnier to control.
Saulnier is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saulnier closes the distance but Reyes moves to the side

and Reyes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Saulnier gets full guard.

Saulnier looking for a guillotine here but Reyes defends easily.
Saulnier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reyes's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Saulnier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Saulnier wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving.

Saulnier stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Reyes stuffs the takedown attempt from Saulnier. Saulnier gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Saulnier cracks Reyes with a right hand to the side of the head.
Saulnier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reyes as he jumps to the side.
Saulnier has his takedown stuffed

and Reyes counters with a takedown into side control.
Nick Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Biggie Saulnier.
Saulnier wants to control but Reyes postures up.

Reyes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Saulnier to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reyes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reyes.
Reyes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Saulnier looks to clinch

and Reyes counters with a takedown into side control.
Reyes landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Saulnier is trying to work for a sweep but Reyes has mounted him!
Saulnier is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Saulnier is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Saulnier wants to control but Reyes is having none of it.
Saulnier might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Reyes kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Reyes has control of Saulnier's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Saulnier regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Reyes is going olschool here, as he tries to force Saulnier to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Saulnier shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Reyes dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Saulnier shoots in looking for a takedown. Reyes tries to sprawl out of it but Saulnier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reyes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Saulnier fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saulnier gets caught flat footed, as Reyes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Saulnier wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Saulnier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reyes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Saulnier looking for a sweep. Not yet Saulnier, not yet.
Reyes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Saulnier misses with a strike from the bottom.
Saulnier is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Saulnier can't do much from the bottom here.

Reyes has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Reyes moves into the clinch.
Nick Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Biggie Saulnier.
Reyes landing knees to the head.
Saulnier using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Reyes tries to land a knee to the head but Saulnier blocks with his arms.
Saulnier drops down looking for an ankle pick but Reyes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Saulnier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Saulnier wants to get back to striking at distance but Reyes won't allow it.
Reyes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Saulnier just stands there and leans against the cage.
The is referee keeping an eye on Saulnier - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Saulnier is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Reyes is keeping busy.

Reyes drags the fight down to the ground.
Reyes keeping moving, preventing Saulnier from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Saulnier slips nicely into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Reyes showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Reyes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
