Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Ganador (ranked 18723 p4p, 106 weight class) and Kevaughn Aldridge (ranked 17020 p4p, 110 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ganador might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to We Will Rock You. Aldridge has chosen Smooth Criminal By Michael Jackson as his entrance music. Luis Ganador could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kevaughn Aldridge's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganador misses with the combination.
We've been hearing reports that Ganador has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ganador jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ganador tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aldridge swivels and escapes.

A head kick lands from Aldridge that sends Ganador to the canvas. Ganador tries to scramble back to his feet but Aldridge brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Luis Ganador has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ganador takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Aldridge controls the position.
Aldridge throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ganador is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Aldridge in side control lands a decent elbow.
A lull in the action here.
Aldridge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ganador keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ganador is trying to get back to half guard.

Ganador throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Aldridge throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ganador's head.
Ganador looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aldridge is fending him off so far but Ganador persists. Nope, Aldridge circles away and we're back to standing.
Kevaughn Aldridge is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aldridge bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ganador gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Aldridge counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Ganador!

Ganador is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Ganador. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Aldridge is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Aldridge looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ganador with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Ganador is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aldridge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Aldridge scores with a big shot! Ganador's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Ganador! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
