Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Clint Thorpe (ranked 5492 p4p, 156 weight class) and Balthazar Theron (ranked 5309 p4p, 151 weight class). Theron has chosen Living on a Prayer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorpe throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Despite the aggression on Theron's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Theron misses with a double jab.
Theron throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thorpe on the side of the head.

and Theron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Theron lands with a nice combination. Thorpe backs away looking to recover.

Theron takes the fight into the clinch.
Thorpe blocks the elbow strike.
Thorpe misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Theron.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thorpe lands with a left to the head.
Theron takes a shot to the head.
Theron tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Thorpe breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Theron with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Theron looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Theron get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action!
Theron is rocked!
Balthazar Theron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thorpe closes the distance and catches Theron with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Theron is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Theron is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Theron is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Thorpe takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Clint Thorpe!
