Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Oriola (ranked 1595 p4p, 190 weight class) and Walton Mack (ranked 2341 p4p, 203 weight class). Walton Mack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diego Oriola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Walton Mack!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack throws a right hand that misses
and Oriola counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mack won't be happy with that.
Oriola tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Oriola has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Oriola tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oriola has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mack!
Mack is working to get back to half guard.
Oriola is looking to work his way around to Mack's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Mack throwing hammer fists to the chest of Oriola. What's that going to do exactly?
Oriola throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Mack is wriggling around trying to escape.
Oriola is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mack can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Mack wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Oriola.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mack wants to control but Oriola is having none of it.
Oriola is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mack is surviving well by controlling Oriola's body position as best he can.
Mack is in all sorts of trouble here.
Oriola wants to take Mack's back but he can't do it this time.
Oriola moves to the back position.
Oriola patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Oriola has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mack! Can he survive? No! He's out! Oriola gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Diego Oriola!
Diego Oriola decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
