Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Kidd (ranked 8200 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justas Kuolys (ranked 5217 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Justas Kuolys!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuolys dives in and scores a takedown into Kidd's guard.

Kidd has his feet on Kuolys's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Kuolys gets a clinch.

Kidd has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kuolys uses from the top position.

Kuolys stands up from Kidd's guard - Kuolys perhaps looking for a knockout.

Justas Kuolys seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Despite the aggression on Kuolys's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Kidd quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Kuolys shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kuolys was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kidd wants to get back to his feet.

Kidd moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kuolys must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kuolys got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kidd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuolys has managed to get both his arms back between Kidd's legs - danger averted.

Kidd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kuolys gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kidd has his foot on Kuolys's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kuolys works his way back into a safe position though.
Kidd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kidd has a closed guard, preventing Kuolys from standing up.

Kidd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kidd wants to control but Kuolys passes easily into half guard.
