Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Petiah Mathis (ranked 3481 p4p, 443 weight class) and Morgan Hudson (ranked 4139 p4p, 493 weight class). Morgan Hudson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petiah Mathis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Morgan Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Mathis misses its intended target.
Hudson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Petiah Mathis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mathis digs a good hook to Hudson's body.
Hudson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hudson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mathis.
Mathis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mathis.
Mathis tries to close the distance and clinch but Hudson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mathis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hudson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mathis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hudson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mathis somewhat.
Hudson flicks out a counter leg kick but Mathis steps away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mathis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mathis shoots for a takedown but Hudson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petiah Mathis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hudson throws a leg kick but Mathis moved away.
Mathis doesn't manage to clinch there - Hudson circles away.
Mathis throws a body kick that misses.
Mathis throws a lazy right hand but Hudson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mathis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mathis misses with a body shot.
Mathis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hudson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Petiah Mathis has been cut.
Hudson drops Mathis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mathis looks back up at him and smiles so Hudson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Mathis is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mathis misses with an uppercut
and Hudson counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Mathis out cold! What a finish! Hudson is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Morgan Hudson!

Petiah Mathis spoke after the fight, saying 'Man Boom, what a fight. You deserve that Title shot man, good luck. But if you do win the belt remember I'm coming for you!'.
