Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Henderson (ranked 24349 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yann Brissette (ranked 5288 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Daryl Henderson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yann Brissette!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson is looking to clinch.

Brissette shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henderson's guard.
Brissette pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Henderson is keeping the position for now.
Brissette is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Brissette would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Brissette's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brissette chips away with some ground and pound.
Brissette is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Brissette tries to stand but Henderson is controlling from the bottom.
Brissette not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Henderson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Brissette postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brissette's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Brissette slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Henderson keeping full guard, as Brissette tries to pass.
Brissette controlling from the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brissette has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Henderson is proving hard to escape from.
Brissette forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brissette not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Brissette working the head and body with strikes.
Brissette not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Brissette is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Brissette sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Brissette is thwarting Henderson's attempts to control the position.
Still in half guard, Brissette seems content to control.
Brissette works his way into side control.
Brissette has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brissette looks up at the clock and then as Henderson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Brissette smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yann Brissette dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Brissette changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Henderson is looking to get back to his feet here but Brissette is keeping cool and he's managed to take Henderson's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brissette working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Henderson is doing well to defend. Brissette seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Henderson is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yann Brissette!
