Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Mcmillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Oliver!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcmillan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oliver defends it nicely.
Mcmillan shoots in but no luck this time.

Oliver gets tackled into the cage by Mcmillan. Mcmillan maintains the clinch.

Oliver manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Oliver has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA New York. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcmillan is looking to work some ground and pound but Oliver has wrist control.

Oliver throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mcmillan escapes and throws Oliver's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Oliver tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mcmillan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcmillan lands a nice forearm strike.
Mcmillan just content to control the position.
Oliver is trying to improve his position.
Mcmillan throws an elbow but Oliver slips to the side and avoids it well.
A lull in the action here as Mcmillan stalls from top position.
Oliver is trying to work for a sweep but Mcmillan has mounted him!
Mcmillan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Mcmillan controlling from the full mount.
Oliver is working to get back to half guard.
Mcmillan controlling his opponent.
Mcmillan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Oliver because Mcmillan loaded up on that one.

Oliver tries to hold on but Mcmillan postures up.
Mcmillan controlling his opponent.
Mcmillan is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Oliver is looking to improve his position but Mcmillan isn't that keen on the idea.
Oliver looks winded!

Mcmillan prevents Oliver from getting the reversal.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Mcmillan clinches up with Oliver and pushes him back against the cage.

Oliver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oliver takes the fight into the clinch.
Oliver tries to stall but Mcmillan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Mcmillan looks for a takedown but Oliver sprawls well.
Tommy Oliver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oliver displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcmillan.

Oliver shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcmillan is trying to defend but Oliver finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mcmillan is controlling Oliver's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Mcmillan manages to get to full guard.
Oliver wants to control from the top but Mcmillan keeps moving.
Mcmillan is pulling down on Oliver's head. It's preventing any offense from Oliver, at least for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mcmillan continues to stall.
Mcmillan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oliver can do to turn this around?
Oliver cracks Mcmillan with a solid left hand.
Mcmillan keeping moving, preventing Oliver from controlling successfully.
Oliver is breathing heavily.

Mcmillan has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Oliver should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mcmillan has tightened it up now! Oliver should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
