Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nunes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Aerosmith - Rockin' The Joint. Miller comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lava Lava kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Nunes. Nunes gets slowly back to his feet.
Miller fails with the takedown
and Nunes counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Jason Miller has been cut.
Miller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Nunes counters with a right hand that sends Miller tumbling to the canvas! Can Nunes finish him? He dives into Miller's guard looking to do just that!

Miller is rocked!
Nunes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Nunes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Miller had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nunes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Miller Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nunes's back instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nunes is trying to get back to his feet but Miller has full control of the position and if anything, Nunes has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Nunes really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Miller's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Miller is persistently looking for the submission but Nunes is defending it well.
