Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Ricoop!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atkinson moves into the clinch successfully.
Ricoop tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Atkinson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Atkinson is trying to break the clinch but Ricoop has him pressed against the cage.
Ricoop fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Atkinson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ricoop stalling in the clinch but Atkinson improves position.
Atkinson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ricoop avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ricoop takes an elbow to the forehead.

Atkinson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Atkinson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Atkinson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ricoop tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Atkinson is in Ricoop's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Atkinson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ricoop is fending him off so far but Atkinson persists. Nope, Ricoop circles away and we're back to standing.

Ricoop gets tackled into the cage by Atkinson. Atkinson maintains the clinch.

I would just about give that final round to Ed Ricoop.
