Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lucas (ranked 2557 p4p, 305 weight class) and Adrian Wolf (ranked 3024 p4p, 349 weight class). Wolf has chosen Shock The System as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf lands with an overhand left.
Lucas tries for a takedown but Wolf sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lucas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lucas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Wolf replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Lucas blocks it well.
Wolf tries to bum rush Lucas with a series of wild strikes but Lucas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lucas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wolf napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lucas creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wolf sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
You can see the frustration on Wolf's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lucas is trying to ground and pound but Wolf uses the momentary lack of control by Lucas to regain half guard.

Wolf felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Lucas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wolf's head.
Lucas is keen to just control but Wolf is a slippery customer.
Wolf regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lucas.

Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown. Wolf tries to sprawl out of it but Lucas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wolf manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown but Wolf manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lucas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wolf flicks out a counter leg kick but Lucas steps away.

Wolf stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wolf wants it to stay on the feet.

Steve Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucas steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wolf. That one must have hurt.
Wolf connects with a solid leg kick.
Lucas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wolf avoids it really well and circles away.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Lucas feints and as Wolf raises his hands in defense, Lucas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lucas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lucas takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Adrian Wolf is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lucas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horrible takedown attempt by Lucas or perhaps it was just good defense by Wolf, which made it look bad.

I've got Wolf winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
