Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vlade Shieko!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Shieko.
Santos dodges the punch combination from Shieko.
Santos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shieko circles away.
Santos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Shieko wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Santos is trying to pull guard but Shieko has him pressed against the cage.
Shieko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shieko feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Santos sprawling to the canvas! Santos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Shieko finish him?!
Santos is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shieko pounces like a tiger and cracks Santos with a vicious hook! Santos is down but not out! Shieko follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vlade Shieko!
