Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Collin Bullock (ranked 24734 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Balakov (ranked 5246 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Balakov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bullock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Balakov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bullock manages to pass to side control.

Bullock stands up and beckons Balakov to join him on the feet.

Balakov drives through and clinches with Bullock against the cage.
Balakov misses with a punch to the body.
Balakov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bullock is defending well for now.
Bullock blocks an uppercut.
Balakov misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bullock wants the takedown. Balakov is fighting it off but Bullock persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Balakov's guard against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bullock has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Balakov defend it? Bullock steps over the head and cranks it - Balakov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bullock!
