Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Cooke (ranked 24614 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostas Mitros (ranked 5204 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kostas Mitros was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kostas Mitros!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitros darts in looking for a takedown but Cooke gets double underhooks and turns Mitros into the cage.

Cooke looking to score a takedown here. Mitros is defending well but Cooke drives through and ends up in Mitros's guard.
Mitros wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cooke manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cooke is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Mitros on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Cooke is looking for a kimura here.
Mitros tries to kick Cooke off in order to stand up. Cooke Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cooke has hold of Mitros's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mitros tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cooke cranks the arm and Mitros screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mitros, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
