PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tab Lloyd (ranked 4856 p4p, 441 weight class) and Nic Phlare (ranked 5516 p4p, 459 weight class). Phlare has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Phlare wants to clinch up but Lloyd keeps it at a distance.
A quick step to the side and Lloyd tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Phlare looks winded!
Lloyd swats away the attempt to clinch by Phlare.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Phlare falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lloyd counters with a nice double leg into side control. Phlare won't be happy with that.

Lloyd working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Lloyd is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Phlare is trying to escape and Lloyd transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Phlare is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lloyd ! Very nice indeed!
