Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darryl Hayes (ranked 24558 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reno Carrera (ranked 6253 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrera is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by SOAD- Toxicity. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Darryl Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reno Carrera !
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrera feints and then cracks Hayes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hayes down.
Carrera scores with a kick to the body.

Carrera throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hayes was covering up waiting for the punch and Carrera finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Carrera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Carrera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayes is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Carrera slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carrera forces his way into half guard.
Hayes wants to control but Carrera is keeping busy.
Carrera has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Carrera looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carrera takes Hayes's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Hayes is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Carrera really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hayes.

Carrera has got one arm under Hayes's chin. This could be trouble... Hayes trying to control the other hand but Carrera gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Hayes has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Reno Carrera !
Reno Carrera seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
