Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elijah Haley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kent gets a clinch.
Haley working aggressively here.

Kent has picked Haley up - he's going for a ride! Kent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Haley wants to improve his position but Kent is controlling well.

Kent is keen to just control but Haley is a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kent decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Kent shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Haley is looking to control Kent's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Haley avoid being mounted?

Kent is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Haley sees it coming and defends easily.

Haley wants to sweep here but Kent controlling him for the moment.

Kent stands up and waves to Haley to follow him.

Kent stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Haley to get to his feet.

Kent fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Haley to the ground. Kent is now in Haley's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Kent wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haley keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Haley tries to bench press Kent off him but Kent keeps the position.

Clark Kent dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Elijah Haley has been cut.
No joy there for Haley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Haley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kent stands and steps away. Haley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Haley enables Kent to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Haley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kent just misses with a elbow thrown towards Haley's brow.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Haley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kent is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kent is pulling down on Haley's head. It's preventing any offense from Haley, at least for the moment.
Haley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kent jumps guard and drags Haley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kent is looking for a triangle but Haley pushes his legs off easily.

Clark Kent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kent has his foot on Haley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haley works his way back into a safe position though.
Kent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Haley stands up over Kent, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Haley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Haley has managed to get both his arms back between Kent's legs - danger averted.

Kent is looking to stand up but Haley isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kent unleashes a big counter combination but Haley bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Haley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kent to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kent decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Haley, up you get!

Kent moves into the clinch.
Kent wants to break free but Haley has control.

Kent has hold of one of Haley's legs. Haley is fighting the takedown attempt but Kent gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Clark Kent has got the better of the ground game so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elijah Haley.
Well Kent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
