Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Marshall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Brown. Beautiful body shot.
Brown defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Marshall.

Marshall shoots in and bounces Brown off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marshall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Marshall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Marshall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marshall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brown pushes Marshall off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Marshall tries for a takedown but Brown circles away easily
and Brown makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Brown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Marshall shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Marshall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
James Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marshall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Brown is defending against the submission attempts here by Marshall.

Marshall is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work.

Marshall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Marshall eventually gives up the hold.
