The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scott tries to avoid it but Sanders manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scott to the ground. Scott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Scott tries to bum rush Sanders with a series of wild strikes but Sanders uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Scott throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Sanders counters with a shoot takedown. Scott fights it but they end up in guard.
Sanders is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sanders's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
