PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert coke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cuddles Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mackenzie has chosen Bitter Peace by Slayer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert coke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cuddles Mackenzie!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackenzie misses with the combination.
coke looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Mackenzie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. coke is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mackenzie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take coke's back instead.

Mackenzie is going olschool here, as he tries to force coke to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so coke shrugs it off.

Mackenzie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Let's hope that Mackenzie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert coke will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

I would just about give that final round to Cuddles Mackenzie.
I think coke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
