Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odis Hancock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Jefersson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hancock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Jefersson tries to counter it with a takedown but Hancock pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Hancock bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jefersson is trying to improve his position.

Hancock goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jefersson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hancock but great work by Jefersson.
Hancock dodges the ground and pound from Jefersson.
Jefersson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hancock is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Jefersson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hancock lands a little strike from the bottom.
Jefersson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hancock sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jefersson scores with punches from side control.

Jefersson throws a strike aimed at the side of Hancock's head but Hancock avoids it well.
Jefersson scoring with punches and elbows.
Hancock is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jefersson connects with a decent elbow.
Hancock is trying to improve his position.
Hancock misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Jefersson blocks the strikes from Hancock.
Hancock is looking for a sweep.

Jefersson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Jefersson throwing shots but Hancock is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hancock lands with a few short shots to the body.
Jefersson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jefersson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hancock's head.
Hancock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hancock looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hancock is breathing heavily.
Jefersson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jefersson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hancock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hancock tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hancock lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Hancock darts in and clinches Jefersson up against the cage.

Jefersson tightens his grip and picks Hancock up, before dumping him to the ground. Hancock manages to land in guard.
Jefersson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jefersson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hancock throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hancock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jefersson throwing strikes but missing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Jefersson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Jefersson tries to sprawl but Hancock drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hancock is looking to advance position but Jefersson won't allow it.

Jefersson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hancock pulls his head out easily.

Hancock stands up out of the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jefersson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hancock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hancock stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Jefersson has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Hancock manages to get his head free but now Jefersson has transitioned to an armbar! Hancock grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Jefersson! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mike Jefersson!
