The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

A slow jab from Petrov misses its intended target.
Kinneas steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

We've been hearing reports that Petrov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Irvine Kinneas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Kinneas throws a hook to the side of Petrov's head but Petrov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kinneas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Petrov will feel that in the morning.
Petrov is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kinneas's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
