PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Harrell (ranked 7757 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Stoll (ranked 24999 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brandon Stoll was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrell shoots in and drives through. Stoll sprawls well.
Harrell stuffs the takedown.

Harrell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stoll is trying to defend but Harrell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stoll pushes Harrell off and gets back to his feet.
Stoll displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harrell.
Stoll shoots in and drives through. Harrell sprawls well.

Harrell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stoll was covering up waiting for the punch and Harrell finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Stoll has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Harrell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Stoll pulls Harrell in close to prevent any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harrell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stoll is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stoll seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Harrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Stoll is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Harrell is pulling down on Stoll's head. It's preventing any offense from Stoll, at least for the moment.

Harrell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stoll is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Harrell, into his guard.

Stoll looking to sit in guard and control but Harrell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Stoll preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Harrell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Harrell with a flurry of punches that miss.
Harrell chips away with some ground and pound.
Harrell stopping the sweep attempt from Stoll.

Harrell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stoll is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stoll has escaped and now he's on top!

Stoll stands and steps away. Harrell gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stoll darts in looking for a takedown but Harrell gets double underhooks and turns Stoll into the cage.

Harrell drives through with a takedown into Stoll's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

and Harrell counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Good exchange - Stoll coming out on top.
Stoll shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harrell sprawls well. Harrell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stoll gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Brandon Stoll.
Well Stoll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
