Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarod Lloyd (ranked 25269 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ima Beast (ranked 7493 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarod Lloyd has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyd throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Lloyd closes the distance and clinches.
Beast tries to score a body lock takedown but Lloyd shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Beast is working for takedown but Lloyd is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lloyd stops a takedown attempt from Beast.
Jarod Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ima Beast.
Lloyd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beast walks away with a smile on his face. Lloyd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Beast looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lloyd went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beast fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Beast drives through and clinches with Lloyd against the cage.
Lloyd wants a takedown.

Beast pulls guard successfully.

Beast preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Beast is working an open guard so Lloyd takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Beast rushes Lloyd and presses him up against the cage.

Beast gets control of Lloyd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Beast will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lloyd won't allow Beast to sweep him here.
Lloyd not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Beast looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lloyd is one step ahead there.
Beast is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lloyd is controlling him.
Lloyd has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lloyd decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Lloyd closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lloyd tries to pull guard but Beast forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Beast tries to pull guard but Lloyd won't allow it.

Beast drags the fight down to the ground.
Lloyd is looking to stand up but Beast won't let him.
Beast looking for a sweep. Not yet Beast, not yet.
Beast is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beast looks winded!

Lloyd gets to his feet. Beast looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Beast clinches with his opponent.
Beast is pressed up against the cage. Lloyd has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Beast down to the mat. Beast avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lloyd darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Lloyd content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Beast avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lloyd.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lloyd gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Beast gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lloyd counters by clinching up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jarod Lloyd will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Beast closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Beast is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lloyd is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Beast to the mat. Beast regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Beast has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lloyd should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Beast has tightened it up now! Lloyd should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
