Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregg Cline (ranked 25179 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Malina (ranked 24428 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregg Cline!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anton Malina!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malina takes the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for Malina to work.
Malina being controlled against the cage.

Malina pulls guard.
Malina wants to stand but Cline is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malina is adopting a defensive guard.
Cline postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Malina had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cline defends it easily.
Cline throws an elbow that misses. Malina uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cline's guard. Nice move by Malina!


Malina stands up from Cline's guard - Malina perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cline avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cline really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Malina misses with a head kick.
Cline blocks a jab.

Cline moves into the clinch successfully.

Cline tightens his grip and picks Malina up, before dumping him to the ground. Malina manages to land in guard.
Malina wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cline accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Malina controls Cline momentarily but Cline frees himself.

Malina is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cline defends well.

Cline lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Malina is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Malina working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cline doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cline manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Malina closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cline to the mat! Cline manages to get full guard.

Cline has an active guard here but Malina has managed to pass into half guard.

Malina wants to control from the top but Cline keeps moving.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Cline shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Malina manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Cline keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Cline is trying to break the clinch but Malina has him pressed against the cage.

Malina gets control of Cline's arms and successfully pulls guard. Malina will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Malina looking for a sweep. Not yet Malina, not yet.
Malina seems keen to control Cline's posture.
Cline is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Malina wants to sweep but no luck.

Cline will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Malina is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cline is aware though and is defending well.

Cline stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Malina is breathing heavily.
Cline avoids the head kick by Malina.
A counter left hand to the body from Cline misses its target.

Malina throwing strikes from guard but Cline blocks nicely.

Cline looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Malina has picked Cline up and slammed him! Cline can't keep hold of the triangle and Malina manages to pass to side control!

Cline is trying to get back to full guard.

Malina postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cline to stand up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Malina throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cline was covering up waiting for the punch and Malina finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anton Malina showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Cline's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Malina looks to score with a jab to the body but Cline is just out of range.

Cline throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Malina escapes and throws Cline's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The strikes coming from Malina are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Malina is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cline is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Malina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cline keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Malina postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cline prevents Malina from moving into mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Malina closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cline's guard.

Cline has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Malina is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Malina takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cline takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Malina has hold of one of Cline's legs. Cline is fighting the takedown attempt but Malina gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Gregg Cline has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Anton Malina is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Cline is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
