Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson clinches up with McGregor and pushes him back against the cage.
Patterson jumps guard and drags McGregor to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Patterson wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patterson pulls McGregor in close to prevent any damage.
Patterson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Patterson distracts McGregor with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Patterson really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McGregor's head.
Patterson is in close to McGregor's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Patterson controlling from the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGregor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Patterson throwing strikes but missing.
Patterson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Patterson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
McGregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Patterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Patterson throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Patterson moves into the clinch successfully.
Patterson pushes McGregor back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Patterson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McGregor's efforts to push away.
Patterson takes a knee to the side of the body.
Patterson jumps into guard, dragging McGregor to the mat.

Patterson pushes McGregor off and gets back to his feet.
Patterson tries to clinch
and McGregor counters with a three punch combo that has Patterson backing up. Patterson nods at McGregor to acknowledge the strikes.
Patterson drives through and clinches with McGregor against the cage.
McGregor lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Frankie Patterson has been cut.
Patterson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McGregor uses from the top position.

McGregor wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Patterson's closed guard. He's half up but Patterson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Patterson pivots and extends the arm, McGregor falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Patterson! Well done that man!
