The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taranin leaves Venemies with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Taranin as Venemies shoots in.
Venemies has his takedown stuffed
and Taranin counters with a stiff right hand.
Segey Taranin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lalli Venemies.
Venemies tries for a takedown but Taranin circles away easily
and Taranin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Taranin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Taranin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Venemies looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Taranin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Venemies napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Venemies wants to control but Taranin postures up.
Taranin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Venemies is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Taranin yanks on the arm and Venemies is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Taranin.
