The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira moves out of range of the body kick from mcgrady.
mcgrady tries to clinch but Oliveira moves out of range.

mcgrady shoots for a double leg takedown but Oliveira sprawls well. He's pushed mcgrady's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
mcgrady tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Oliveira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
tracy mcgrady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliveira misses with a straight right.
mcgrady closes the distance and clinches up with Oliveira, looking for a takedown. mcgrady pushes Oliveira against the ropes but Oliveira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
mcgrady throws a sloppy head kick and Oliveira moves out of range easily.

mcgrady throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

mcgrady walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Oliveira checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Oliveira swats away the attempt to clinch by mcgrady.

and Oliveira counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in mcgrady's guard now.
Oliveira postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
mcgrady not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

mcgrady wants to stand but Oliveira is controlling the position.

Oliveira gets to his feet. mcgrady looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
mcgrady shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Oliveira counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
