Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yokuni Togashi (ranked 3760 p4p, 393 weight class) and Alvaro Fernandez De Calderon (ranked 22560 p4p, 631 weight class). Chooooooooon! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez De Calderon goes for a double leg but Togashi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Togashi continues to drive forward.
Fernandez De Calderon throws a right hand that misses
and Togashi counters with a straight right hand.
Togashi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fernandez De Calderon finds it's way round the side to connect with Togashi's head.
Togashi looks to land a right hand but Fernandez De Calderon moved out of range.

Fernandez De Calderon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've been told by Togashi's head coaches at Rokugan that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fernandez De Calderon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
