The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Becks pushes him off.
Decent striking displayed by Becks there.
Becks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Becks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A combination from Becks does no damage.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Becks as he jumps to the side.
Becks throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Becks. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Becks.

It looks like Jose Smith has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith wants to clinch.
Becks misses with a jab, cross combination.

Becks lands a slapping body shot.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Becks as he jumps to the side.

Becks throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Becks.

Becks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Becks tries for a takedown but Smith manages to get underhooks.

Becks manages to break the clinch.
Becks is looking to wear down Smith with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smith is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Becks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith throws a body kick that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Becks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Becks rushes Smith with punches - Smith moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Smith goes down! Becks follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
