The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker moves into the clinch.
Parker tries to pull guard but Romart forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Romart tries to land knees in the clinch but Parker avoids the damage to the body.
Parker working hard to break the clinch.
Parker tries for a takedown but Romart manages to get underhooks.
Romart lands a knee to the head.

Parker jumps guard.
Romart is stalling in the full guard.

Romart decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Parker, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romart jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
An inside leg kick lands from Romart.
Parker throws a body shot but no joy.
Some wild striking there from Romart.

A looping hook to the body misses from Romart. Parker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Romart slaps away a takedown attempt from Parker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Romart has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Russian Bears Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Jeff Romart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Parker.
A nice inside leg kick there by Romart. That's going to slow Parker down.
Parker tries for a takedown but Romart circles away easily
and Romart counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Parker shoots in but Romart avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Parker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Romart defends it nicely.

Romart will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Parker tries to clinch up but Romart circles away and keeps his distance.
Romart jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Joseph Parker has been cut.
Romart scores with a crisp jab that stopped Parker in his tracks.
Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Parker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Romart swivels and escapes.
Romart throws a big counter combination but Parker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Parker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Romart defends well and Parker ends up having to push Romart into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romart scores with a hook to the body. Parker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Romart connects with a good right hand that stumbles Parker. Parker circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Romart wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Romart paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Parker is rocked!
Romart lands a slapping body shot.
Parker is still on wobbly legs! Can Romart finish him?

Romart lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Parker out cold! Parker is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
